Just relax 'N be patience wid setup....
Hi guys,
I hav seen many of u getting troubled with this. I just advise you to have the Windows XP professional set up again by completely formatting your Hard-disk. Then, first try to install any anti-virus, and have your Windows XP firewall enabled from your Network connection(by Rt.clicking your LAN connection Icon and choose properties, in that new window, go for Advance and enable your firewall). Because i had the same problem, i did this, it just works for anybody. SO, no worry anymore. If you still got any Head-ache with Windows XP professional , just shoot here, i am here. DONT WORRY!!!! Have a Smile now.
I am very cool bcoz i got rid of lsass.exe error. From last couple of months my computer got infected with lsass.exe and i was able to fix this error after formatting my windows XP. That was worst period i have ever face with my computer.
lsass.exe is from Microsoft and lsass.exe is not a virus in every case. If you find lsass.exe process in System directory then it is safe.
This process is responsible for safe running of
Local Security Authority
Net Logon service
LSA Server service
Kerberos v5 authentication protocol
NTLM authentication protocol
Security Accounts Manager service
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
If lsass.exe is virus then your CPU usage reached to maximum and its safe to remove process.

lsass.exe error
I too am having the lsass.exe not found error. I have read through 9 pages of info here but have not come across my exact problem.
Problem is my laptop keeps restarting after I get the error message box which appears on a black background with no way for me to get to Start or any part of my Windows XP screen to do anything before I click on OK or the Close Button. I did try a repair from my XP CD but that did not work. I loaded the new updated version of AVG Antivirus program the day before, and the old AVG was running and updating everyday, so I don't think it is a virus and I believe I have all of the recent updates. Also I got the same error message box in safe mode and most times it restarts from there although one time I did get the box to disappear but could not do anything in the window. It just had the words Safe Mode in all of the corners and nothing else. If I missed the fix please show me where to find it.
