LSASS.EXE - LSASS SERIOUS WINDOWS XP SHUTDOWN PROBLEM
Error: lsass.exe error shuts down XP Home -
Microsoft Windows XP - lsass.exe 60 - second System Shutdown Problem What Can I do to stop this lsass problem?
Hi guys,
I recently installed Windows XP Professional on my home computer. I found that my computer keeps restarting every 60 seconds. I just found out that the virus is called LSASS its basically called LSASS and also known as lsass.exe. It restarts my computer and in 60 sec & it is unrecoverable error.
I searched for the error on the Internet but have not found a real solutino to the LSASS error and am really frustrated with this lsass problem. I am almost thinking about changing my computer or changing my OS :- (
I want the straightforward solution for fixing this LSASS.exe error. I was thinking of taking my computer to the local computer store I am sure they must have a fix for this LSASS error? What do you think is that the only option? I have a computer at the office and can download a patch if needed, I even went to the antivirus sites and can not see a real solution.
So again I will really appreciate it if you can guide me to solve this LSASS problem which restarts my computer every 60 seconds.

lsass.exe temp solution
When you see the message that Windows will shut down in 60 sec, go to Start-> Run and type "shutdown -a" the problem vanishes and also your shutdown option in start -> run. You may not be able shutdown the computer but you can SWITCH IT OFF. whatever the problem vanishes temporarily
after the shutdown -a command, when the error ocures, the lsass.exe will disapear from the task manager so it is free for you to replace it with another one. after that scan with many removal as u can... then restart... good luck!

lsass.exe error
LSASS.EXE is not a VIRUS
is is a program that can be exploited by a virus, such as the sasser worm. it is NOT THE sasser worm. i have found that my problems have seemed to dissapear by scanning for virus's with an up-to-date virus scanner and also microsoft malicious program removal tool and microsoft spyware removal tool beta. for god sake guys i am 15 and have managed to work this out myself...... and by the way dont think about editing your registry, its is most probably some clown wh o wants to F*CK up your pc, i hope everyone finnally gets the point!!
LSASS.EXE is NOT a VIRUS
ALI
every time i try to start mycomputer it says lsass.exe error then something about a password and wont let me do anything then restarts over and over when i try to get into safe mode it does the same thing anyone know what it could be? could i just reinstall another windows? thanks for any help

isass.exe = evil
It appears isass.exe is the root of all evil.
My error says "when updating password...blah..blah...blah... password incorrect." I got this after trying to fix some registry with winsafe (= wingarbage). I can't use recovery console (admin password invalid?) or anything like that, but maybe I can edit the registry to fix things? I'm confused & I really don't know if I have a virus/worm or not... I had just finished recovering from a crash caused by missing files... *sigh*
Can anyone help? Thx

I believe if you go into your search and type: "windows xp remote procedure call" then find the download fix and that should take care of your problem......
