I also have the same problems that you have. I tried all possible suggestions on my Win XP Computer. When I installed Win 2000 pro on both machines, it gives me the timing out errors on clicking on single link. I don’t understand why the problem arrived.

If you still have this problem, please remove your all network cards and network devices from your network. Then reattach them all to the network and trying to connect with Internet.

Which version of Net gear router RP614, do you have the version 1 or version 2? Also are you still using the Norton products? Please uninstall all these from Network Computers and try to connect.

I checked that all with my network is correct. I also have same configuration that you have. I checked with everything that from router to firewall & its necessary update that is needed for that. I work well on ebay. I check with the ebay and just thought that are you banned from ebay or not.
I supposed that the problem is more important for you and me.

I think that all your connection settings & OS settings that could be performed by you is correct. You have all firmware updates on your computer.
What is the other problem is your systems have, that disconnects you from Internet?

Let I try to solve your problem. Please plug in your modem directly to your PC. Now check it with ebay . Do you get disconnected from Internet while using ebay?

I think that what is the ebay Problem.
Do you think that the duration of your visit to ebay or may be resetting of your visit to ebay to get the connection back to you i.e. some features that are just unable to use ebay.I hope my thinking is in correct way that could solve your problem.

When using Norton anti virus, it blocks the ports that is configured by it. The only way to solve this problem - uninstall Norton from your computer. There are also some major issues that also connected with this.
