Cancel Netscape service by calling
1-866-541-8233, choose number 5....cancel service. Customer service person will come on the line and ask you the name on your account and your the answer to your security question. Then they will cancel your account for you. I cancelled due to it's slowness....got on only at 16.8.which was my phone line's fault - NOT Netscape's.

I immediately canceled my Netscape account after observing during installation I was shocked at the amount of "ADWARE" that the program attempted to download to my Computer. This is a nefarious way to try to do business without customers permission. If my various Spyware/Adware protection programs did not notify about this it would make all activity vulnerable on your computer.

Signing up is easy. HOWEVER, canceling is a real pain in the butt. You can Not do it online as say, AllVantage.com. You must call 1-866-541-8233 toll free, and talk to someone in India. Once you get a human being, then jump through the verbal verification hoops the operator has you jump through, then get a sales pitch to try to reinstate you or keep you as a customer,..once you do this, you then get a cancelation verification number but nowhere to verify the cancellation number. You just have to cross your fingers and hope you are canceled. I will have to wait to check my next and then next Amex bill to verify. In other words, Netscape Internet Service is an ok product, however canceling it is like walking through a briar patch and having to removing burrs from your wool sweater.

i want the netscape isp to cancel my free service that i have never had the opportunity to use--many call have been made to netscape--10 minutes wait--5 minutes wait--6 minutes wait--back to over 10 minute waits--i am handicapped in my arms and trying to cancel has made a hardship on me--when i could not get any help i knew i never wanted netscape service--do not try to charge for this supposedly free trial
