Signed up to verizon dsl |
|
|
| Just signed up verizon dsl. Has anyone else had a problem with the dsl service. I used to use peoplepc as my isp and then I thought let me sign up to verizon dsl. It started out slow and then after 7-10 days the speed picked up pretty good and i was a happy dsl customer. Then last week i started having weird issues and the people at verizon dsl have tried to help me but overall since then the dsl service has not been very good. Has any one else had this problem. |

As far as my knowledge. currently Version Online DSL DSL is only available to customers residing within 3 miles from its office. Also they serve their customer over copper wires.
So, it might happen that you are not qualify now, but can be qualified soon. Don't worry. |

Thanks for the reply, tod.
I want to ask you one more thing, if you can tell me, that if one number doesn't qualify, will another number at the same location qualify for DSL?
Do you know that? |

Justin,
You first have to check the availability for any of your telephone numbers. It is sometimes possible that a customer location could have more than one telephone line, so one telephone line might qualify while another telephone line does not.
So better check your availability at Verizon Office. |

I want to sign up for Verizon but what is the speed difference between the regular dialup and Verizon DSL. Any suggestion!
Thanx. |

Verizon DSL gives speed which is much more faster then dialup connection.
Verizon DSL download 1MB in about 25 sec while dial up takes 4 min. For 1.5 MB Verizon DSL take 40 sec and dial up takes 6 min., and so on. |

When you are trying to connect thro DSL modem, the following factor affect the speed:
Distance of telephone line from a Verizon Central office.
Wiring condition of telephone inside and outside your location.
Computer configuration.
Network or Internet Congestion.
Router and Server speeds of the Web site you access. |

| To find out whether your phone is valid for Verizon DSL or not, enter your phone number in any of the boxes throughout the site that say Can I Get DSL. Then they will check your number, your line is equipped with DSL. |

Hi Friends,
You can not connect to Verizon DSL after changing your phone number because it will not change your telephone physical line. You have to change physical line of your telephone. |
