It provides me with an Internet connection, seemingly of the same speed. However, NS2 above is slightly faster.
I tried these with port #4559, under proxy server, but to no avail. Didn't try 8080 or 80.
Your comments on this. Again, any value? Thanks.

Hey guys;

I wrote a little ditty on using a DNS server and a HOSTS file a little while back. Nobody replied so it was either ignored or fully understood.

Using a HOSTS file actually speeds up surfing for your more frequently visited sites as it keeps the address stored locally on your PC.
In the pecking order of name resolution, the HOSTS file comes before DNS boring you to tears.
Try and find my other post on this subject as it explains it in further detail and includes a couple of links for further info.
