Looking for some feedback on internet accelerators...
Is 5-times increase in speeds achievable on a consistent basis?
Which would be a better option- to get a complete accelerated dialup service from isp or buy connectivity and the accelerated dialup software separately? Is there any difference, at all?

From my understanding you have to buy the hi-speed internet service in order to use the accelerated software. Otherwise, people would buy standard dial-up service and take advantage of the software to get higher connection speeds. I believe most isp's provide hi-speed connection along with dial-up. It is on a consistant basis too. ISP's usually have their own software that is available to their customers. I did a search the other day for hi-speed isp's and ran across a company called 550access.com that provides a service similar to what you want. You should check it out. Hope that helps.

Internet accelerators can significantly increase download speeds. I would get one b/c the prices difference compared to standard dial-up is not that big. Maybe a buck at most. I would jump on it.
