I can’t Format External Hard Disk.

Hi there!
Any one help me to format external hard disk. I want to convert external hard drive from FAT32 to NTFS file system by formatting it. But the problem is I am unable to do this. when I try to do it says me “Windows was Unable to Complete Format.”
What is the problem?
Please help me if you can?

First of all make sure that external drive is not in use? Also try to disable Disk Monitor and try again. This error is common when you do that within Windows.
