Problem in install 2nd Hard Disk?

Hi there!
I have a P3 at home and it has 40 GB hard disk. I want to add second Hard Disk of 40 GB in to my computer. The first Hard Disk is Master and the Second Hard Disk is Slave. But when I try to install I get an error message and I cant find the 20 GB Hard Disk. Also can’t see second CD Drive I just installed.

First of all make sure two hard drive are on the same cable, make sure 40GB Master drive doesn’t have a “Master and No Slave” setting. Some of the drives have this kind of setting which cant appear the slave drive.

Try to install only one thing at a time. After installing both device see if they are detected in BIOS.
