Windows XP- lsass.exe 60second System Shutdown Problem lsass
LSASS.EXE - LSASS SERIOUS WINDOWS XP SHUTDOWN PROBLEM
Error: lsass.exe error shuts down XP Home -
Microsoft Windows XP - lsass.exe 60 - second System Shutdown Problem What Can I do to stop this lsass problem?
Hi guys,
I recently installed Windows XP Professional on my home computer. I found that my computer keeps restarting every 60 seconds. I just found out that the virus is called LSASS its basically called LSASS and also known as lsass.exe. It restarts my computer and in 60 sec & it is unrecoverable error.
I searched for the error on the Internet but have not found a real solutino to the LSASS error and am really frustrated with this lsass problem. I am almost thinking about changing my computer or changing my OS :- (
I want the straightforward solution for fixing this LSASS.exe error. I was thinking of taking my computer to the local computer store I am sure they must have a fix for this LSASS error? What do you think is that the only option? I have a computer at the office and can download a patch if needed, I even went to the antivirus sites and can not see a real solution.
So again I will really appreciate it if you can guide me to solve this LSASS problem which restarts my computer every 60 seconds.

lsass.exe error not fixed, done like lsass and remove lsass
Hi Everyone,
LSASS.exe is killing my windows xp computer also. I keep having my computer shut down also. So any help on lSASS will be appreciated.
I guess what I am trying to say is that basically I am also still stuck with this LSASS problem and dont have a solution yet.
I have heard of LSASS removal tools and I want to know if anyone recommends a particular lssass.exe removal tool and why you recommend a particular LSASS.exe tool over the others. I am sure this information will help me will this LSASS error but also others.
Microsoft Windows XP people - LSASS.exe should never of shown up on my computer if you people had patched windows in time... 6-8 months before an lsass.exe patch was released is crazy!
Help me...
You can check your registry setting for that because it also affects directly to the registry. It may block your computer’s TCP/IP port address. Please check the registry at following position:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run
- Otherwise search “TCP/IP port” on Registry. Set the port to “0”.
Now you can that the error occurs or not.
I check my Windows registry but I did not see it. I can’t set my TCP/IP port to 0 because it is already at 0. I fade off with this problem because I can’t do my work. Remove this problem immediately.

Can Anyone Help me?
Bye.
Hi Buddies,
To resolve this issue, please take the precautions so the W32.Sasser worm or any other Worm can’t attack on your system. Please select a Personal firewall either trial ware or freeware version of Sygate personal Firewall, Symantec Personal Firewall, Zone Alarm Personal Firewall, etc.
Install the Worm security patch relevant to your Operating system.
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/se...n/MS04-011.mspx
After downloading the patch, run it on your system & then test your system on
http://www.microsoft.com/security/incident/sasser.asp
I hope it will solve your problem.
I already installed the latest anti virus patch from www.pspl.com & also from www.microsoft.com I also updated my latest Virus definitions using Live Update. I appreciate your help in this regard but it can’t work. I did lot of other things i.e. needed for to resolve this issue.
What anything else we can do?
There is also a new Virus that also enters directly into your System’s registry.W32.sasser.D Worm is also known as W32.Sasser Worm.
Please install the latest utility from F-secure. The W32.Sasser disinfections tool has been updated to remove W32.Sasser.D Worm.
It is available at http://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/sasser_d.shtml.
It finds actively infected files which prevents constant reboot of your computer. Other side effect of this worm's, that they spreading and crashes LSASS.EXE which forces Windows to reboot. This makes it rather difficult to fetch and install the required security patch.
To prevent LSASS.EXE from crashing, you have to setup Read-Only attribute on dcpromo.log file :
%System Root%\Debug\dcpromo.log
where %System Root % is the Windows Directory( Typically C:\WINDOWS or C:\WINNT).

Re: Windows XP- lsass.exe 60-second System Shutdown Problem
SASSER Worm Solution: Go to norton antivirus for the LSASS bug removal tool. That is the best option.

LSASS error not solve yet
LSASS REMOVAL TOOL is what I want
LSASS Removal tools are hard to find. I think the best option is to buy norton antivirus or maybe grisoft antivirus which is free. I think they should have something to remove the LSASS.exe bug.
If not then just buy a new computer and from the beginning have SP2 installed and Antivirus and Firewall and I am sure LSASS.exe you will not have to worry.
I know thats not the solution but I too am stuck and waiting for a better solution for the lSASS bug fix.
Microsoft I am wasiting compny time typing this, you should send a tech to my house to fix this lsass error

I also want help on this LSASS Problem. Please please help if anyone knows on LSASS.exe error.
I did not know that microsoft was aware of this 6 months before the security hole virus LSASS was even released. I think that its aweful that Microsift did not update to avoid this. I update my computer all the time and if they had patched LSASS then today maybe I would not of seen this.
I wish i could file a complaint for such sloppy response by microsoft which effected millions of computers, how could they let a virus and a fix that is so simple go un applied for so long. 6 months ... hu.....

Re: DOWNLOAD
guys, when the shut down box appears change the date on your system ( give yourself a few days, go back a few days not forward) this will give you enought time to patch your system. When you have given yourself a few days connect to the internet and go to www.google.com. On the search field type- windows updates - and hit search. Click on the first search result, that link will take you to microsoft's web page. Follow the intstruction on the page, heres what you want to do. 1. let microsoft scan for all the critical updates that your system is missing, then let microsoft install them for you. Do this until microsft says zero critical updates are available for your system.
