Windows Startup Processes Question |
| Currently, I have Win98 installed on my PC with 32MB RAM. I also use wireless Internet access with a software-based control program that loads at startup. If I close out of the configuration utility, I can still receive an Internet connection; but I don't want to load it at startup. Now, I can't get an Internet connection. Is it possible to have this utility at startup and then close when it is finished configuring itself? |

| This could be a long shot, but check in system preferences, search for something that says, " Shut down when finished". What brand of software are you running? |

| I'm using non-branded Wi-Fi controller software that logs me on to a wireless gateway. Even if I did try your suggestion, it still wouldn't be finished because it still monitors the connection as well. What I have been doing right now and I am going into Task Manager and shutting it down that manually, as there is no preferences for that. |
