Basically, I want to set up a Linux server to do this www-jcsu.jesus.cam.ac.uk...help/rdial.shtml the server will be a PIII 500 MHz, 64mb RAM with 1GB HDD. I know nothing about Linux. Anyone know about the program that will work like this but with a win server. So what do you recommend?

Red Hat Linux, Gentoo Linux, Debian Linux, Slackware Linux etc. recommended by me. But I don’t know about the hardware Specifications.

Ok, well which versions should I pick? Will I be able to use the GUI or only text base. As I haven't used Linux. Will that be too slop on my pc?

Depends on which you prefer. Check out www.distrowatch.com to find a distribution you like. Most do the same thing as the next.
