vonage telephone service sucks! Phone supports horrible |
|
|
Vonage has horrible phone service. I mean you have to wait like 10 days before you even get teh equipment. Your billing starts right away. And when you have a problem with the vonage phone service expect to wait i dont know maybe 30 minutes on HOLD!!
Overall the support staff does not know any thing, and now thru another post I am learning the vonage is also insecure. That vonage problems are not just service but personal voicemails which you get my email are being sent to the wrong address. How horrible is that VONAGE PRESIDENT ? |

by the way I tried vonage for both the regular phone line and then the worst of them all was teh vonage softphone, which uses your computer to receive phone calls and to make phone calls. Please work on your softphone software its horrible. And its unstable, i had the softphone software crash all the time. I have windows xp by the way. |

Vonage VOIP telephone internet service is good |
|
|
Well I like vonage I have not had a single problem with the quality of the phone.
Vonage voip is good, the only problem is my voicemails going to someone else. How can you allow this vonage? Also when I called your support sucked! It was way below average, and thats why I changed back to my SBC phone line not because of poor quality but poor support Vonage. So fix the support issue and voicemail issue and i am sure I will consider coming back to vonage voip telephone phone service. |

Save your money. if you're only attracted to low rates to other countries (philippines in my case) don't bother. It would not connect to mobile phones and landline connection to Philippines is full of static and disconnect . I'm better off now using my cellphone for additional $3.99/month and the charges per minute is $.17 landline and $.21 mobile (yes! cheaper than Vonage's per minute) |

Vonage is a nightmare |
|
|
| No phone company has ever messed me around as badly as Vonage. I wasted three weekends trying to configure this inert piece of plastic they call a Router, and never got close to a dial tone. Their customer support is a sick joke: I never waited less than an hour to talk to a human, and none of the supposed techies knew anymore about the subject than I did. Email queries for help received an automated reply and nothing more. I went out on the Vonage forums where, I was told, Vonage's top tech guys often lurk looking for emergency cases to help out. Bupkis! Now Vonage has the nerve to charge me for a "disconnection fee" when I was never connected to anything in the first place. Vonage truly sucks. |

Vonage is the worst! |
|
|
| I've wasted 4 weeks and long hold times trying to get Vonage to work. No dial tone!! I've never been on hold with a company as long as I have with Vonage. Over an hour...now I called today and they ( computer) ask me to call back because of high call volume. I have no working phone and can't talk to a human! There is no way this company will make it!! |

| I liked my Vonage service. It connected easily and it worked flawlessly. Then, six days ago I got an email saying that they had done a "code upgrade" on my adpater and I would need to shutdown/startup on my adapter, router and wireless modem to restore dial tone. I did that, but still no dial tone. They must have expected problems, because the email also said that if a shutdown/startup did not restore dial tone, to reply to the email and they would ship a new adapter to me overnight and give me one month of service free. That was six days ago and I haven't received a new router or any response whatsoever. Needless to say, I am no longer thrilled with Vonage. |

VONAGE - worst investment ever |
|
|
Suck it up and stick with your local phone company.
The IP stuff is great - but not from Vonage.
Their technical support staff is absolutely incompetent.
I've paid for 3 months - and haven't made one successful call.
SO much for plug and play.
Save your money - go elsewhere, or wait for the technology to get better.

HATE VONAGE |
|
|
| My vonage stopped working sometime on 2/25 and I, too, have wasted countless hours of my life trying to get SOMEONE to answer an email, or pick up the phone from hold and provide some CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are by far the WORST experience i have EVER had with any company. I, too, have eaten up almost ALL of my cell minutes waiting on hold and, still, have NO PHONE. I'm so frustrated, but am interested to learn about the "code upgrade" referenced by someone else on here... I'm wondering if that's what happened to us. |

Vonage is BAD.
I don't even know how anyone gets through to support. I've been trying for three weeks and every option i choose through their customer care line i get a busy signal except for Sales (who can't do anything for you). I also tried sending in web requests through their site and no one has ever gotten back to me.
So i gave up and just canceled my service. I'm not going to pay for a service i can't get support for. I only had a 10 minute wait to get to someone to cancel it. |

Vonage Phone Support |

| I couldn't get through to their support either so I called their sales line, they gave me a secret support phone number to call 1-(800)860-5470. That phone number worked. |

awful customer service |
|
|
| I've had Vonage since October of 2004. It worked great for 6 months and then, all of a sudden, stopped working. I tried troubleshooting on my own: the only advice they give you is to reboot your phone adapter. If this doesn't work, GAME OVER. Vonage customer service is grossly incompetent. I've called 10 different numbers, had 6 Customer Service requests "Escalated", and spent 2 weeks without any response. What's worse is I run a home business and have spent over 100 dollars in excess cell phone minutes already. Vonage SUCKS! Go with a different service! |

I am dropping my Vonage service!
I have called several times and finally got to someone today after waiting about 40 minutes. All I got was | Quote: | | Vonage Customer Service, Hello, hello, hello, hello. | CLICK! Yelling on my end didn't help. Maybe that is how they are trained to handle customer questions.
That pissed me off enough to leave them after two months with a bad router, missed calls and finally double charges with my cell phone since I couldn't get Vonage to ring at home, I forwarded my calls to my cell.
BON VONAGE! |
