Registry Problem with Win98???

I have one serious and tedious problem. I am unable to update Direct X due dll file it tries to reference cannot be found because the key is deleted.
So I need is a good copy of the default registry, so I could re-create the keys. In any case, I know it’s typical reinstall answer in the waiting.
If anyone have idea then please reply me back.

You can reset your system registry and get this dll file.
In your computer there is two way to reset the registry

1) Basic reset
2) Advance reset

so as your problem you can do first basic after that you can not succeeded then you can do advance reset and get that dll file
