| BEWARE! Earthlink's technical support isn't very nice. I was having trouble connecting and my son had told me to contact tech support and get a new access number. As I called and was connected to a live support representative, I found him to be rude and impatient. I am not very computer literate but that is not something I can help. Im a 54 year old woman for god sakes. I didn't appreciate his tone and am warning the rest of you to not expect service with a smile. |

| incredible bad tech and support, signed up but program wasnt working tried support it seems to be based in india, the people i talked to had no clue about my problem(couldnt connect to internet) or the the earthlink program, as they continued to give advice that was on mistakes only a person completely new to net would make and when that didnt work brushed me off. also expect a long wait to even talk to anyone 30-60 min. |

I agree, the one tech I got was in the Philippines and was hard to under stand. I wonder if she knew who she worked for. I have had to find my own troubles or ignore them. Looking for another ISP> |

| I agree, Earthlink's tech support is very frustrating to deal with. One guy (sounded Russian) was very impatient, rude, and not at all helpful. Most of the others I've dealt with all sounded like they were Indian, and though their English is good, it was like talking to a robot or some kind of automaton. Often their answers were nonresponsive to my question. They were superficially cordial, but stubbornly ignored certain questions (in particular, "Why does it take so long for you to respond to my questions?" They would only apologize, but wouldn't explain anything! I also often gave detailed accounts of my problems, including remedies I'd already tried... and yet the support technician would advise me to try those measures! Or I'd ask a 2- or 3-part question, and would only get a reply about the first part. All in all, very frustrating! |
