Free ISP unlimited service but limited locations |
|

I just came across Freedialup.org. It offers free dialup in few cities and from allt he information I read on their website, there do not seem to be any hourly limitations for the dialup.
I plan to check it out. Anyone knows if there is any catch or any significant problems with this dialup service? |

| From my understanding free isp's provide horrible connection speeds and service. Hence why they are free. Around here Netzero is popular but that doesn't mean its good. |

pfft. i admin the network for freedialup.org.
those people are using the same LUCENT APXs the rest are.
that same APX is one out of two RAS that are prob still supported
now days. they even have v.92 cards. i have not used it though.
i moved downtown and get sdsl for free now days.
anyway, here is how you sign up. create any username or password
out of your mind. anything will auth.
make sure it is a local number. dont be a retard. dial verizon and ask.
use the phonebook
click connect. that is it. your speed will depend on your fricking phone line.
just like it always has. i redid the site. free dialup now ranks #3 on google
anyway, you need some real internet access? t1? sdsl? ds3? oc3? chanelized t1s? please visit my bosses website. http://www.g4.net
http://freedialup.org
leave a message on the wiki please. thanks. i always enjoy it. |
