Wireless or Wired?

There are 3 floors that the network would need to span accross and the house is fairly old with thick walls, there will also be 8 mobile phones in the house, i have heard that this can cause problems with tranmission. Could someone please help me out here and inform me of how good wireless networking would potentially be in this situation?

Each building will affect the wireless performance in a unique way. How the wireless performs is affected by so many different factors such as the building structure, location of wireless points, local interference it becomes impossible to predict the wireless signal range and performance.

The only sure way is to conduct a wireless survey. Given the the house is obviously very large with thick walls I wold not expect a single wireless router or access point to provide network coverage over the whole house.
