. Wireless speed question
I've just got my Netgear DG834G wireless router and Netgear USB receiver up and running on my PCMy signal strength is excellent at all times and browsing the internet excellent and fast so far.
However, I have noticed that the speed seems to switch frequently up and down from 24.0Mbps to 54.0Mbps when I open up the Wireless adapter wizard utility and watch it for a while. I haven't noticed any actual slowdown of internet browsing however at the lower speed.
Is this a usual thing or is my connection a bit patchy?

This is quite normal for a wireless network. So many things like can affect wireless signal performance:
 Outside/eternal interference
 Doors opening and closing
 People and objects moving
 Other wireless devices (telephones, microwaves etc)
Unless it is noticeably affecting your network I would bother about it.
