adsl router vs broadband router

what's the difference between the two types of routers available (adsl and broadband)? Is it just that one has an inbuilt modem?
I'd like to have a wireless BT broadband connection from point to computer in separate room.
Thanks in advance..

Yes, the only real difference is that ADSL Routers have built-in ADSL modems and so can plug into a phone socket where as Broadband routers have not modem, just an ethernet input.
So if you had an ADSL modem with ethernet output you can plug this into a broadband modem. Virtually all ADSL modems are USB only though.
As you have ADSL via BT, you will need an ADSL Wireless Router and a wireless adapter to enable wireless on your PC.
