Telewest broadband networking

I have installed a telewest broadband sevice ie using cable modem. Now i have bought a Linksys EtherFast Wireless Cable Router BEFW11S4.
But now to get it to work, i think i need to enter the MAC address of the linksys router into the telewest modem right?
Well, how do i do that? the telewest modem is Scientific Atlanic.
thanks in advance.

Telewest limit the number of MAC addresses that they will allow to connect from a single broadband connection. Call Telewest Broadband Support and ask them to register the routers MAC address. That will fix the problem.
I don't think it's possible to enter it via the cable modem.
