If you have more than one harddrive go to the other drive ( Copy & Paste in the same location on C:\ drive if not find someone with the same OS and copy it to a floppy then paste in C:\ WINDOWS\SYSTEM

Good morning. I am having the same problem as these other users. However, I am unable to use the advice you gave. Within C:\WINDOWS\System is the winspool.drv file as you said. But there as an 'unknown application' and will not open. I attempted to copy the same file from the system32 folder right next door but that did not work either.
Any advice would be greatly appriated. I cannot print and some programs will not open because of this....help.....
Go ahead and follow this steps to fix winspool.drv error.
Extract a new copy of winspool.drv from the Cab file. Cab file located at C:\Windows\Options\Cabs folder. Double click on this folder and extract this file to C:\Windows\Systerm32 folder.

Well. Still no luck. I found the Cabs folder, but it was not in the Options folder. It was C:\Cabs Files in the Cabs folder were a variety of Virtual Device Drivers. I found another Cabs folder, entitled AuthCabs but it doesn't seem to relate to what we're talking about.
