My DSL connection is timing out every 5 minutes, loses sync then comes back, but does this every 5 mins. I have checked connections and tried different phone jacks. Can anyone provide me with any advice on what to do?

This is known as intermittant sync, and can be caused by a general line problem either on your end, or the providers end. Double check your DSL filters, making sure one is not in the line that your modem is using, and double check that your modem is on a short phone cord - yes.. that 50ft cord is bad. If this doesnt work, call your ISP.
