Trouble opening "File" toolbars, Causes "Error in USER.EXE"

whenever I try to use a "File" option of the toolbar up at the top, everything crashes. I've found this a problem in both Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer, everything. It seems any program with a "File" option crashes whenever I try to use it.

This is an after-effect of the virus/spyware cleaning I've been doing to my computer from the other forum; I just emptied out my TEMP folder, which I think led to the problems.

You might try to replace the "USER.EXE", with a new one. Yours may be corrupted
you'll have to extract a new one from your disk .cab files not knowing which windows
