it means: The Remote Access server is not responding.
This is what i saw from another site:
All versions of Windows - if connecting to a WindowsNT server with PPTP. See MS KB Q162847
Error 650 can also occur if the ISP server modem/equipment is not set up properly.
If this error persists, try dialing in to the server with Hyperterminal connected directly to modem. (Also see - Using Hyperterminal.) Nearly all servers will respond after CONNECT with a login prompt for your user name, and then password. This will allow you to see any error response from the server. If the server accepts your username and password, it should start a PPP session, and you cannot use Hyperterminal to get any further - you may see 'garbage' characters. If this happens, the username and password combination should work with DUNs. If you get an error, contact your service provider and have them try and log in with your account information. |

This error can result from a missing or corrupted telephon.ini file. To resolve this follow the steps below.
- From the Start menu select "Find", and then select "Files or Folders".
- In the "Named" field type "telephon.ini" Look on the C:\ (usually)
- If telephon.ini file is found, rename it to telephone.old.
- From the "Start" menu select "Run",type "tapiini.exe" and then click OK. (nothing will really seem to happen.)
- Reboot, and retry the connection. |

Hello,
It's occurs because of an Infinite recursion, and occurs when function call itself, calls itself........, and so on without stopping. Mostly occurs when your error handler has an error, which trigger the error handler.
Ask me for further questions.
Bye...

There are possible solutions of Error 650 - Server not responding are as under:-
A. This is probably a modem error. In any case, check the connectoid and Network settings.
B. Make sure modem is setup properly, try inits, check for updated drivers.
C. Set the port speed to 57600, making sure the checkbox to 'only connect at this speed' is unchecked.
D. Check into line noise.
E. Rename the telephone.ini file.
(1). Click Start, go to find, and click files or folders.
(2). Search for telephon.ini.
(3). If you find it then rename it to telephon.old or telephon.bad.
(4). Click on Start, Run, then type tapiini.exe, press Enter.
(5). Reboot. |
