I never see any versions of that. But I have a suggestion for that.

First, Buy a WAP or wireless equivalent hub. You could use a Linux box to make a dialup connection and you can use this as a gateway. And it need not be wireless. Many people have issues getting wireless card working under Linux. I know that most of wireless routers have 4 ports.

I don’t know why you have an advanced setup if you’re using only dialup connection. My computer’s network topography becomes like Internet > cable modem > Linux firewall > Linksys WRT4G wireless router + 4 port switch > nodes and it works great on my network. I don’t have any other setup that would not be used for broadband Internet.

Ya, I have to split the phone line at demarc point. One filter for voice line leading in my house and the other side being filter less, which runs directly in the DSL modem.

Most of line filters do not have differences. I tried with Excelsus and Suttle. You need a phone & phone device like, modem or answering machine connected with firewall with out DSL.

I ‘m very happy to say that I running Efficient 5360 on two different locations since last 6 months. I used the modem that may or may not include line filters.

Am I need to buy new filters from modem companies or all the filters are available as universal?

What is the difference between a one line filter and a two line filter?

As long as it supports G.DMT it will work well & used as universal.

You can't tell if the modem is not working without DSL. As for the filter, any filter will do, firewall mounting means its configuration changes made on the firewall.

I have some knowledge about that both wall mount phone filter & phone supports G.DMT. They are both good modems IMO.
