Windows media player issues
Hi friends,
I am Having problem with my Win Media Player 7, It cannot get it to work. Get an error message: "An internal application error has occurred." Does anyone have any idea what this means?
Do I need to delete the program and find another? Any suggestions for a better player?
Some part of Microsoft Windows Media Player 7 may have been corrupted if the player will not run at all. If it runs, but cannot play certain files, then you may need to upgrade it. The newest version is 9. To update it, open Windows Media Player 7 and click on help. There should be an update option there. If not then go to the microsoft site and do a search on media player. You'll find a download there.
If you are having performance problems, you should turn off the visualizations. It is the fancy graphics that are running in the window.
I am having difficulties with the old Win Media Player that came bundled with my Windows 98 cd. I never bothered to update it and it used for simple viewing purpose. I want to update new and improved versions, it take longer times to display along with choppy frames.
The old one keeps itself up to date automatically I believe by downloading the proper codecs, which needed.
My suggestion is try to revert to the original version that came with your os.
