My D-Link External Modem is not getting detected. It was working fine in afternoon but it refused to get detected in evening. I checked all the connections even connected it to two other computers, modem shows power-on status, I running Win XP Pro. Please help me.

Do you have a setup disc or CD for your modem? You can always install the hardware manually in WinXP. When you start the wizard, you can point to the disc or CD and when it finds the necessary drivers, it will install the device.

Hello,
Is this a USB modem? If yes, make sure that always use the same, what should I call a USB port or a socket. I mean that do not share the same USB socket with another USB device, a mouse, keyboard, camera, for example. I have installed one such modem and haven't had any problem with it so far.
