Phoneline Network with DSL, is it possible ?
II have 2 PC's at my home networked through Diamond Homefree Wireless network. I am able to transfer between this 2 PC’s and share printers and so on. The main part is that sharing the internet connection is not working so well.
I am in Canada and am using the Sympatico DSL service using my Nortel 1 meg Modem. I am using Enternet 1.4 to connect as my provider uses PPPOE. The client PC shows that it is connected to the internet but it is slower. It takes almost 5 minutes to load a page.
The worst thing is that MSN Messenger will not connect at on the client as well as on the server. I am thinking that it is because my one PC is upstairs and the other is on the main floor. So that it is not great having to go through a few walls.
Finally my question, is it possible that switching to a phoneline network will help this. Is it even possible to use phoneline networking in the house. If it is possible to do, how would I go about connecting things?
Any and all comments and suggestions are welcomed.

The slickest solution here is a Linksys BEFSR41 DSL/cable router with a built-in 4 port 10/100 switch hub. You can plug the DSL adapter into the WAN port and your computers into the hub ports. The router just configure the PPPoE section with your login name and password.
