How many hubs needed for 4 workstations Network?

How many hubs will I need for the Network with four workstations connected with a hub. The four workstations will be positioned at level one 2 PC at our last rom and other two – both workstation & server in the same room. It will be approximately 60 feet distance from workstation 3 and 4, which are close together about 20 feet apart.I think that I may need 3 hubs but not sure.

Any help in this regard.

As long as the distance from any one machine to the hub is not greater than 300 feet, you can do it with one hub. I thin it would be known by the hub capacity. That may varies from different hub manufacturing companies.

While on we talk on the topic of hubs and switches, can you explain me the difference between the 2 to me? Also which would be better for LAN that is gamed on, a hub or switch? Thanks in Advance.
