The instructions for my router may seem more complicated than as actually it is. Set up your cable modem plugged into the router & router plugged into the switch & the PCs connected with the switch. Now, Log into your router, usually done by putting the IP address of the router like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 into your browser. Use Passsword and username supplied by the router manufacturer. You can find the settings that are normally you used on your PC.Please enter your ISP’s IP address, gateway, domain name provided by your your ISP. And Apply the settings to your network.

On my network, it uses a Linksys BEFSR11 1 port router and the switch is the same brand. When you type in the IP Address in your browser, you connected with internet and see the password box & Enter into the manufacturer’s website..

The Linksys address is 192.168.1.1, so type http://192.168.1.1 into the browser. You will not be go online through the router till it’s not properly configured. The user manual from Linksys is pretty good if you read it carefully.I hope your router connects to the Internet.
