There are 5 computers and 3 printers connected to an 8 port hub and the hub is connected with another 8 port hub which has 3 computers and 2 printers connected to it. The first hub is connected to the server. I have to take care of everything. So I want to learn “How to create a Network” . Now the main question is that ...Is this configuration is a goof alternative for 16 port hub be? Or would a 16 port switch be better?

Thanks

After using 16 port switch, it would be better. It makes your network a little faster Also can make trouble shooting problems easier. If it works now and there is no major need for speed.

“Replacing the hubs with switches is always a good idea.”

Thanks for the advice. I think it would be recommeded that replacing the hubs with the switches. As for the printers they are network printer that prints as many pages that are stored in the printer’s bufffer.
