I have 2 computers with NIC’s on that and the cards have 2 phoneline ports and a cat5 port. The cable modem is plugged into the cat5 port to the server. Can I connect the other computer, from the server using the phone line and also sharing of Internet connection and files?

I found the answer on the linksys web forum on website www.linksys.com . Once you plug the cable into RJ45 connector the RJ11 adapter is disabled.

There are some specific cards that are used for to connect with RJ45 to network of RJ11 connector using the phone line ISP. Why u not use a cross-over cable to connect with 2 machines.Or if you have a cable connection then get a hub for to connect the cable router to uplink port and brings all the network PCs on net.

You can share your hard drive with passwords and you can share/transfer files at a rate of 450-1.4 kb/sec.There are some other senarios that may available for that.
