Can someone tell me how to disable or route my e-mail around the firewall in my Linksys router? I lost my setup during one of our many thunderstorms and now I can't get it setup to receive or send e-mail. It connects to the Internet without any problem and I don't know why this is. I am using AT&T @home cable.

What type of settings you using to route the router. What is the name/address of the mail server you are trying to connect? I am also a AT&T @home user. I originally owned by comcast, now it’s a part of AT&T. My mail server adress is netmail.home.net.

If you are using something like "mail" as your server address, you'll need to change the address of your mail server. If you ping the address "mail" while logged into their system (not behind the router) it should give you the true IP address of your mail server that may be renamed by @home. Use this true address in your email application as the incoming and outgoing mail server addresses.
