Hi, I have a cable since last 2 years. Now i decided to buy a modem. When I connects with my modem & plug the power in, it just keeps blinking the receive light. The cable in and out and online lights are turn on. However, there is no data transfer pulse.

Exactly what's happening that “The cable company said that you have to change the MAC address in your/their configuration to the new modem's IP Address.”
