Hi all,

I have computer running with Windows 2000 Professional. Now the problem is that, when i start computer it will automatically
shut down after some time and searched for this is error and it is due to lsass.exe worm problem.
I am really frustrating of getting this error. I also found that this error due to lsass.exe virus. Is this true? My computer shutdown due to this lsass.exe shutdown error. Suggest me how do fix this lsass.exe error?

I am very thankful to you if you will suggest me any solution.

This is very common problem. I am not sure this is due to lsass.exe virus. My PC also shut down after 60 seconds due to lsass.exe system error. I am having windows XP and have faced the same lsass.exe problem.

Just click on the following link to fix lsass.exe error. You can find the better solution for this problem in opinionguide forum. Go thro this link and find your related solution.

is lsass.exe a virus? I have it on my computer and my step dad said to remove it, but i have no error messages from it like you guys were saying... Is it something i should remove or just a system process?

it' s the common problem. it's a warm. update service pack 2 this remove that spy.
open run and type 'shutdown -a ' when the error occurs

hi all i spent 5 hrs to solve this problem i found something it could be usefull, 1st i'm trying to download fix lsass from the internet using an infected pc ,1st : _LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows while u r in the registry press find lsass , then try to modify binary data from edit change as much as u can ,after that try to delet it from registry ( keep doing this : f3 then delet ; it means find next lsass then delet it , in the same time go to this web and try to downloan http://www.pcdocrx.net/cgi-bin/view.cgi/google57/download2.html

WATCH OUT GUYS BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT LSAS AND LSASS (WITH 2 SS) THE LAST ONE BELONGS IN WINDOWS SYSTEM32.

lsass.exe is such a annoying little bug every the computer world. its been going on this long and its still going this error and people are still having problem.

also people please do get anti virus for not this but in general it will save everyone a lot of hassel and time.

I have a windows 2000 machine and I started having the problem with lsass.exe

My Anti-Virus is up-to-date, and all the updates and service packs have been installed..

I have run the sasser removal tool(ran in safe mode as it crashed otherwise) nothing found, virus scan nothing

I am not connect to a network or the internet
