Looking for Tips on DSL providers

We must begin search for a new DSL provider with a good service policy. It is used for managing our network and databases. neither we have any experience with DSL. When it comes to shopping, we don't know what kind of questions to be asked

My first efforts of research are beginning here. Any suggestions or bits of knowledge about DSL providers would really be appreciated.

Verizon is anti-competitive to the hilt and is trying to stamp out local DSL ISPs through outrageous line fees and refusing to the provision lines which are required by law to do.

If you have no options for DSL other than Verizon and Verizon ISPs, then do a favor and pay the extra money. If this is a business which requires internet access, you're better off with service from someone besides Verizon.

The best business grade DSL provider in the country is Megapath, if they service in your area. They were able to get their Northpoint customers switched over to Covad. They are not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
