Can’t access some websites while using ADSL Broadband

Hi Buddies,
I recently buy an ADSL Service on my Win Me PC & it works much mire faster then traditional 56k modem. While using I encountered several problems:
- Some websites like www.yahoo.com,www.microsoft.com, etc. could not be accessed.
- While file transfer using Yahoo messenger or ICQ, the file transferring takes 34% more time to get response.

I have some solution for that.
Open Registry Edit & create / edit the following key in it.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Class\NetTrans\00 00 and include MaxMTU=1454.

I do the registry edit solution give by you. But it doesn’t help me to solve.
Please Help me........
