PeoplePC
I am using PeoplePC dialup with Suse 8.0 Linux and having no problems at all. I recently found out how to properly set up Linux to use on PeoplePC. I also use PeoplePC with XP on another machine and the only problem with it is the email sucks. I can not get on the mail servers a lot of times but always connect to their internet servers.

peoplepc
Attention all....People pc blows banned.. Their customer support is an F---. Every person that I talked with was a real butt-munch and acted like I was a total idiot when I had a problem with the service. I dreaded calling them because they treat you like dirt when you call(and believe me, I had to call often)
They also say if they can't solve your problem over the phone they will come out to your house...what a bunch of **** that was...Your computer would have to blow up.
NEVER AGAIN....Optonline is the way to go

Switch to DSL now cheaper!
For close to the same price you could switch to DSL!
AT&T is charging 12.99 per month for 1 year contracts on DSL to new customers.
I used this referral code durring the signup process and saved close to 10.00 per month. Just a tip...

I cancelled People PC back in March. I just checked my account statement and, for some reason, they started billing me again as of July. I called customer service and when I (eventually) got hold of a live person they told me that they could see my account was cancelled. There is no customer service available over the weekend to take care of this (only technical and new sign ups) so they gave me a different number to call back on Monday.
I had their service for several years and even though it was mediocre at best, I kept it because of the low cost.
I would not recommend People PC to anyone I know due to their unauthorized billing practices.
