I have not noticed this 'agrsmmsg.exe' before on my computer, I noticed the 'agrsmmsg' just now and I am a bit concerned and so I want to know what this 'agrsmmsg' does and how to remove the agrsmmsg.exe from my computer ? Please tell me how this file agrsmmsg.exe showed up and do i need to remove this file ? and is removal process easy ?

the AGRSMMSG.exe is for your dail up modem its agere software if your modem is agere then its for your dail up modem well thats wut i found

Hello Guys,

When I open my windows XP and I connect Internet Explorer. I got agrsmmsg.exe error and you will need to restart your computer in massage box.

So, I restart my computer and then checked agrsmmsg.exe in my computer but I don’t found agrsmmsg.exe in windows. I don’t know what’s happened with me??

Please help me to fix this problem!!

Hello All,

agrsmmsg.exe is Agere SoftModem Messaging Applet Service.

agrsmmsg.exe is background process. It is modem software file, no worries about agrsmmsg.exe. If you don’t use AMR Modem you may find a way to stop the process from loading up if you wish.
