Wireless card Encryption doesn’t Work in WPA PSK Config.

Hi,
I have Linksys 802.11b wireless router. I have configured it for WPA PSK encryption with TKIP. I have laptop wireless card (Intel 2200 b/g) works fine on the wireless network. But when my friend’s wireless card (LAN Express 802.11) doesn’t recognize that encryption. It only shows WEP when I try to connect it to our wireless network.

I don’t know where I am doing wrong or the wireless card is not capable of performing WPA-PSK encryption?

If anybody has got the answer reply me.

Hi,
If your card is an older model then there may be chances that it will not work with newer encryption modes.
WEP is just like closing your door to your house (not locking it). It looks secure but easy to open.
I would recommend getting to update this card.

I just purchased a linksys 802.11g router and Dlink 802.11g card and can't connect to my network when using WPA-PSK encryption, but i can with wep. Does anyone have any suggestions??[/quote]
