Question: cfd.exe – how to remove cfd.exe process ?

There was some problem of speed in My Computer, when I was monitoring the Windows Task Manager’s Process List and I found cfd.exe. Does any one knows about cfd ? Is it any system process or user process ? I have been using Norton Antivirus and it has not detected it as virus or worm, so is it related to any spy ware? Please tell me how this file cfd.exe showed up and how can I remove this cfd.exe process and will it generate any windows error ? Is there any cfd.exe removal tool or utility available ?

Hello Friends,

CFD.exe - Broad Jump Client Foundation.

Description: Broadband troubleshooting software installed by various companies. Not required and you can remove it via Add/Remove programs. This threat copies its file(s) to your hard disk. Its typical file name is CFD. Then it creates new startup key with name CFD and value CFD.exe. You can also find it in your processes list with name CFD.exe or CFD.

Good Luck!!

Ahout CFD.EXE error

Hi Rock

Cfd.exe is belonging to motive communication.
Motive communication is troubleshooting software.
It is not a virus.
This file can enable broadband connection provider to offer easy installation.
So don’t remove cfd.exe from your system.

Hi All,

I don't know which program put cfd.exe on my computer, but I blocked it on MacAfee just in case. Everything works just fine without it.
