Question: vptray.exe - what is vptray.exe process removal ?

I have not noticed 'vptray.exe' showing in my Task Manager, under the Tab "process" header before on my computer,I noticed the 'vptray' just now and I am a bit concerned and so I want to know what this 'vptray' does and how to remove the 'vptray.exe' from my computer ? Also I want to know whether it is a system process or user process and Is it because of some error in any program exe, virus or worm? Please tell me how this file vptray.exe showed up and do I need to remove this file ? And is Removal process easy?

vptray.exe is Virus Protect Shield System Tray Icon and it is the tray bar process for Norton AntiVirus. It gives the user fast access to Norton AntiVirus. If you do not use the icon you can safely terminate this process.

Hello Friends,

I have installed Norton Antivirus in my computer but it is not working properly because when I open Norton Antivirus I got Vptray.exe error. I don’t know what Vptray.exe is?? So I search what is vptray.exe?? I found this forum. I’m really thankful to this forum and their users for information about Vptray.exe but please help me how to solve vptray.exe error??
