Question: winoa386.mod wmiexe.exe - what is winoa386.mod wmiexe.exe process removal ?

I have not noticed 'winoa386.mod wmiexe.exe' showing in my Task Manager, under the Tab "process" header before on my computer,I noticed the 'winoa386' just now and I am a bit concerned and so I want to know what this 'winoa386' does and how to remove the 'winoa386.mod wmiexe.exe' from my computer ? Also I want to know whether it is a system process or user process and Is it because of some error in any program exe, virus or worm? Please tell me how this file winoa386.mod wmiexe.exe showed up and do I need to remove this file ? And is Removal process easy?

I dont know why i am seeing this wmiexe at the top in System Process. If you have any idea about this wmiexe.exe then let me know.

Hay All,

Anyone knows how to disable wmiexe.exe in Windows NT? This is causing my CPU usage to stay constantly above 85%. These don’t show up in the "services" like in Win2K.

Hello all,

Don’t end this process in your task manager because wmiexe.exe is required for windows. It is Microsoft's Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).

wmiexe.exe is background process gives users access to basic system information.

Don’t remove from your computer!!
