HELP Me Please
Hi all,
Just installed a new modem in my dads Computer over the phone and set up 3 separate pay as you go ISP’s (btopenworld, virgin and handbag)
You have no idea how difficult this was as he's a complete technophobe .
When his modem dials he gets engaged tones and redialing with all of them. Just a co-incidence? Or a problem with his line?
His telephone provider is someone called Axix telecom.
1. When I connected to the Internet for long periods my PC freezes can I solve this.
2. When I am at work I like to keep an eye on things at home, so I use remote desktop sharing (Net Meeting) to access. obviously my home pc to show the camera is in use or any programme. That freezes my Home PC. Could I stop this happening ?
I connect internet using SBC ADSL connection on my Sony Vaio 2.2 GHz Notebook.
Recently I updated my OS as Windows XP Home Edition to Windows XP Professional Edition. When I connect to Internet, It displays “Cannot find server“ error. I cannot access any website using http or https protocols but works on ftp. This happens after updating my OS.
When I am at my home, it is working fine. I done all work from my home easily but not from my Office.
