To get solution first reboot the computer and then renaming & recreating of TAPI initialization file of your computer. If necessary you have to remove or reinstall your modem in win 95/98.

To solve the problem, you have to follow some steps listed as under:
- Click on Start > Shutdown & select restart your computer. If still the problem arrives, configure your dialup networking (DUN) and modify system settings.
- Click on Start > Find/ Search > type telephone.ini and press Enter.
- Rename the Telephone.ini to Telephone.old and restarts your computer.
I hope it solves your problem.
