Question: hkcmd.exe – how to remove hkcmd.exe process ?

There was some problem of speed in My Computer, when I was monitoring the Windows Task Manager’s Process List and I found hkcmd.exe. Does any one knows about hkcmd ? Is it any system process or user process ? I have been using Norton Antivirus and it has not detected it as virus or worm, so is it related to any spy ware? Please tell me how this file hkcmd.exe showed up and how can I remove this hkcmd.exe process and will it generate any windows error ? Is there any hkcmd.exe removal tool or utility available ?

Hi

HKCMD is a hot key command used by Intel for their graphic card or motherboard I have been having problems with it myself.

You might want to disable it from starting.

If you are running Windows XP go to Start/Run and type msconfig, then go to the startup tab and turn off hkcmd from starting on boot up

hi all

hkcmd.exe is installed alongside Intel multimedia devices and allows configuration and diagnostic options for these devices. This program is non-essential process to the running of the system, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems

to solve this problem
use this spyware WinTasks 5 Pro
