Question:what is dfssvc.exe process ? Is dfssvc.exe any virus or worm ?

There was some problem of speed in My Computer, and in the Windows Task Manager’s Process List I found dfssvc.exe. Is it any normal system process, error or is it any error exe, worm, virus or any spy ware? It looks to be part of windows process list, but I am not sure and want to remove dfssvc.exe Process. Please advise me what should I do and how do I remove this process?

dfssvc.exe is not virus or worm.

File dfssvc.exe is the Distributed File System service, it is a Windows system file. This file is only found on Microsoft Windows Server or Advanced server versions. This process is crucial for the DFS service. Essential Microsoft server service.

You can go to :
>> Control Panel
>> Administration Tools
>> Service to disable or stop this service.

Thanks for information about dfssvc.exe. But dfssvc.exe is usage 76,699k of CPU memory. That’s really strange for me. I even can’t end this process by click on End Task.
