My new e-mail address is going to be: screwed by aol.com.

I'm not amused.

But this isn't the point... I'm looking for a new ISP to join when (if) I cancel my current ISP, namely aol. Any reccomendatioins? Most anything is welcome at this point, as long as its not as bad as America On Line.

Any reccomendations? Please?

Don't make a mistake and go with Earthlink. They are just as crooked as AOL.

Try to find a local provider and don't use your credit card to make your payment. Send them a check instead. That way they can't jerk you by continuing to charge your card after you cancel. They will try to do the same thing with online bill pay. Don't let them. This happened to me.

My credit card issuer said it was ok for Earthlink to keep debiting my card until Earthlink told them to stop, NOT ME, the account holder. I cancelled the card.

Bank card issuers are in cahoots with these corporate thieves. don't let them get away with this legally sanctioned criminal behavior.

I wrote and I called. And I wrote and I called.
Months after Earthlink said they'd close my account (months during which I never used it, because I assumed it was closed), I found a charge on my credit card from Earthlink.
Do not get sucked into anything at Earthlink. Stay away!
