Beware of PeoplePC's deceptive cancellation practices. |

When I cancelled the service this summer, (I had gotten a broadband connection) I was offered a free month of service in case my new service failed. Little did I know that accepting the free month voided my cancellation request and I was billed for months after despite never using the service. Customer service refunded 2 months worth of my service but I still lost $60 on the deal.
My advice when canceling is to GET A CANCELLATION CONFIRMATION NUMBER and confirm with the rep at the end of the phone call that you will no longer be billed. Also CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD statement for months after. |
