BEWARE OF THIS ISP!

#1. THEY DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS IF YOU CANCEL!
#2. Many "features" on the website (concito.net) do not work.
#3. At least one phone number listed promenently, has been disconnected.
#4. E-mail doesn't work if you have a separate domain.
#5. Tech. Support doesn't respond in a timely manner.
#6. They can be quite rude.
#7. Did I mention that THEY DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS IF YOU CANCEL?

Hello,
They are falsely accusing me of spam and using that
as an excuse to try to debit my account for $600,
when they told me it was ok to mail my list.
They got $221 from me.

Thank you so much for your post, however please let me address each concern 1 by 1 as you did above.

#1. We do not give refunds if you cancel our services because we've found people bounce around from ISP to ISP in order to recieve free services. Another reason is, we barely mark our prices enough to make a profit from our users, so if a user logs in 1 time and then cancels their account we're billed for the entire month from our vendors.

#2. I was made aware that an older version of our site popped up on the 1st of February. This older version had information on it that was out of date. Needless to say it was fixed.

#3. Please see #2 above.

#4. Email most certainly does. We do block port 25, however as explained on our support section at http://concito.net/support/index.php?pf=kb&page=index_v2&id=12&c=1 it tells you exactly how to do this.

#5. Once again please see #2. Our site was not reflecting the correct # for technical support. We appologize for the confusion.

#6. I don't quite know how to answer this, but please call us so we can address and rectify the issue as soon as possible. The last thing we want is to upset a user, and for the user to think we were rude to them.

As for LisaLisa,

I am looking over the emails to and from you when you wanted to become a member. You said you had a small mailing list that you wanted to email. To me, a small email list would be under 100 people. When you spoke to someone in our abuse department over the phone, I believe you relayed that you're mailing list was 1,000,000 people. I don't know about others who read the board, but IMHO that's not small at all.

Why you were charged what you were? I don't know. I do know that SPAM effects ISP's in different ways. How did you're spam effect us? We were (Our users) were black listed from sending mail to the following domains because of you're spam:

1. ATT.net
2. comcast.net
3. wmconnect.net
4. aol.com and cs.com

We were able to indentify this by talking to each respective abuse department and they were able to forward us a copy of the emails that caused us to hit their RBL (realtime black list) and all of the mail and complaints were sent from you're email address with us, and you're reply email address was the one you used to email us you're questions.

I hope you can understand that this is very severe, and damages us in many ways.

I had Concito for a while. Bad, bad, bad support. Phone numbers always out, or changing, or no one answering. When you do get an answer, it is a machine and they don't bother to return calls.

Forget them. Keep looking. Lots of other ISDN isp's out there with toll free numbers in your area. And many give unlimited dual channel for less than Concito's premium rates ($$$ yikes!)
